By this we don’t mean just the people – but we do hope you meet some of us and realise how just how charming we are.  Our locals also include our birds, sea mammals, especially whales, dolphins, seals and sea lions.  The kiwi is iconic, but you will be equally entranced by the many other native species, with whom you are likely to have chance encounters while out and about.  You can of course visit one of the many conservation centres where they are protected and are available for all to see.  A really good way to meet them and learn about them is to join one of the many excellent special wildlife tours.

New Zealand is beautiful – and one of the great joys of your holiday will be the countless opportunities for you to get out and be part of it. Walk, tramp, boat and bike – we have a host of ideas to suit you whatever your level of fitness and mobility.
